I am trying to figure out the kind of business to delve into. Thanks for your ingenious ideas :-)
Should be a business that can be done in-store, not online. Thanks

For me that would be a dog training school and boarding facility. A place where dogs would be able to stay and have outdoor and indoor recreation. A place where dogs and their parents would be able to come and play. A place where dogs and their parents could come and learn how to have well-behaved dogs. Not just obedience but agility and maybe how to compete in formal dog shows. To me this would be a great place to work.

After suffering the affects of a hurricane or two and massive power outages that lasted weeks and took lives of electrical service men trying to get trees and debris of the lines, I would either try to come up with a home standby power setup that was economical and caused no “gas lines” or I would try to help by investing in carbon utility lines which could be buried along with telephone lines and cable, so they were hurricane proof as much as possible and it would make the world a safe more beautiful place to live. Think of very few high power line corridors with everything else buried. You could fly kites, birds and squirrels would have to find a tree or some other safer area to perch and run. We could garden up to a smaller “MARKED” easement. Airplanes and helicopters wouldn’t be running into them and killing people. Teenagers would have to find some other type of pole to hit with their car when they become air born. And the loss of electricity during transmission would save not only money, but the quality of air that we breathe would be better.
Maybe even get into the Natural Gas pump selling business. You can buy natural gas compressor systems for homes for around $2000 and sell them for $4000 like Honda does. Think of it, no gas lines ever again. Just by a natural gas conversion from Argentina, put it in trucks and sell them a home refilling system. And it will burn cleaner too.
So many are rushing to alternative fuels and “green” energy” because the government just put $50 billion up for grabs, so maybe providing ancillary services would be a better idea, as those with lobbyist on the pay roll will probably win out in the end.
Another area would be in healthcare. One way or the other people are going to become more responsible for paying for their own healthcare. Advocating leaving the insurance companies to cover only hospitalization and customers to argue directly with their doctors and clinics for affordable pricing with available appointments within a matter of days instead of weeks might be able to be turned into a business. Until we cut insurance companies off, they will keep prices spiraling out of control. They and the medical professionals should get a rude wake up call. Who needs them, there are plenty of home tests, remedies, and para professionals who could do most of what Doctors and high priced medical facilities flubb up on a daily basis. I bet there would be money in consumer medical advocacy or consumer medical support … sort of like Web MD but in real clinics open 24 hours 7 days a week for a set cash fee.
