I was wondering if you are on Section 8 and making plans to increase your income by starting a home business, do you have to notify Section 8 even before you see a profit? I am in California
with any government assistance you have 10 days from the day you KNOW about the change in income to notify them. for ex.- you get a new job and work for 3 weeks before receiving a paycheck, you have 10 days from the date you start work. You may want to make sure that section 8 wont be affected by the ACT of running a business because section 8 DOES NOT help with business property. Using your home for a business may disqualify you for section 8 altogether.

Horaayy..there are 2 comment(s) for me so far ;)
Two problems I see here.
1. Increasing you income may disqualify you from section 8 housing.
2. Having a home based business is most likely against your local zoning laws and lease with your landlord. You can not run a commerical business from a residential property.
