Where does an entrepreneur find investors to help produce and advertise multiple products?

When an entrepreneur first invents something, how does he or she manage to make the first sales?

I mean more on a technological level such as Bill Gates; obviously he did not go door to door talking to people about his new creation.

the wrong section is singles and dating, mens health. just ask there u might responses. um if ur product sells then if ur friends buy it, they gossip and the news spreads so people come to try out.

and ya supplication to Allah works too.
